Pastor Tracy is originally from North Carolina where she attended Calvary Moravian Church in Winston-Salem. She graduated from the University of North Carolina (Greensboro) with a Bachelors in Art Education, worked as an intern at the Board of Christian Education for the Moravian Church (South) and then taught science at R.J. Reynolds High School before entering seminary. She earned her Masters of Divinity from Moravian Theological Seminary (1999) and Doctorate of Ministry in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary (2014). Tracy was ordained in August 1999 and consecrated a Presbyter in October 2005. She has served as associate pastor at Rural Hall Moravian (North Carolina) and pastor of Morning Star Moravian (Arizona), Shepherd of the Prairie Moravian (North Dakota), Covenant Moravian (Wilmington), and Schoenbrunn Community Moravian (Ohio). She began her ministry in partnership with Great Kills Moravian (Staten Island, New York) in July 2015.
Pastor Tracy enjoys helping people discover and use their gifts to fulfill God’s mission. She is a certified yoga instructor and in her free time enjoys teaching movement and meditation at Great Kills Moravian and Zion Lutheran Church. She is a sought after camp, conference, and retreat leader and serves the wider Moravian Church on the Eastern District Christian Education Commission, the Northern Province Identity, Purpose and Organization Task Force, and the Interprovincial Faith and Order Commission. She is married to the Rev. Michael Poole a retired police officer and ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She has two adult stepsons and a daughter.
